Art show openings are fun on so many levels. Firstly, there is usually free wine. Or beer. Or both. Secondly, if you go to the good shows, you will see some good art which will inspire you in all sorts of unexpected ways. Thirdly, you can mingle and chat with other creative people who, in turn, could also inspire you.
