Visited the Jose Parla & Futura exhibition, Pirate Utopias last week at the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms in central London. I'd seen and heard a lot about Futura over the years so I kind of knew what to expect from him, but Jose Parla was a reletively new name to me. I was honestly blown away by both these dudes work. Every piece had the little red sticker that signifies it had been sold. The lady who worked there told me that everything had been sold before the private viewing. The smallest piece, about 8inches by 8inches cost $4000, and the biggest, about 10ft by 20 ft cost, well, the woman wouldn't even tell me......
